Hollywood actress Pamela Anderson who recently featured in a guest appearance in Big Boss 4 has proved to be lucky for the show. Even though the actress is no longer a part of the show but she has increased the production and brought the channel immense earnings and sky high rise in TRPs.

Pamela, famous from Baywatch, drop dead blonde bombshell brought about a change in television industry in her complete traditional Indian attire.

She was featured wearing a sari on Indian television holding a broom, rolling chapattis and trying her best at Hindi, also dancing away to the beats of Madhuri Dixit’s Dhak Dhak Karne Laga.

This was just bits of her versatility which managed to pull a huge number of viewers glued to television sets. However that was also because of her western outfits, mini skirts and dresses!

The actress who has zero acting skills and almost no fan following in the west has managed to create an upsurge across oceans, in India. She left the show without her final farewell. But farewell or no farewell, she did what Big Boss 4 required, fetching good money from everywhere!

Animal activist and Hollywood actress Pamela Anderson had had a great time on her recent visit to India and took back a few mementoes, vegan shoes included (Pam’s a veggie and PETA supporter) among her souvenirs.

In an interview, she tells DNA about the delights of her visit here…

“When I think of India, I think of samosas…fabulous country, fabulous food. I love to eat and am so glad India has so many amazing vegetarian options; I had a fun time trying different things,” says the actress who’s very particular about her diet, figure and indulging in ‘meat-free’ meals.

Back in her home town, she had friends and family asking about her Indian visit. “I told them that I loved it in India and I’m hoping someday to bring Dylan and Brandon (her sons) with me to see the Taj Mahal; it’s gorgeous,” she continues.

Apart from the knick-knacks and happy memories, Anderson also picked up something she had set her heart on — leather-free shoes. Just before going into a house set for a reality show in Lonavala, Anderson arranged for a variety of vegan shoes made by designer Rina Shah to be brought to her.

Anderson apparently loved Shah’s leather-free shoes so much that she took a suitcase full of them back to Hollywood.

“It’s a must-have in my wardrobe as you won’t find bags, jackets or belts made of animal skin there,” she says.

What will also remain with her is her impression of the people. “Indians are so warm and wonderful. It was so nice to meet friends and wear a sari too. I picked up a few Hindi words,” she ends.

Emily Blunt was a tomboy child

Hollywood actress Emily Blunt says she was a tomboy when she was younger and would even 'throw tantrums' if her parents made her wear pink clothes.

The 'Devil Wears Prada' actress who is known for her sense of style admitted she had more boyish interests and hated being dressed in feminine clothes when she was a youngster, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

'I never dreamed of being a princess when I was a child. I wanted to be on the soccer team. I wasn't into Barbie dolls and swore I would never, ever wear pink. I would throw tantrums if my mum put me in pink clothes. Not a girlie girl at all,' she said.

"When you're outnumbered you have to be willing to accept that there might be crass humour going around, but you get used to it."

Shannon Lee Tweed Biography

Shannon Lee Tweed (born March 10, 1957) is a Canadian actress and model. One of the most successful actresses of mainstream erotica, she is identified with the genre of the erotic thriller. Tweed currently lives with her longtime partner Gene Simmons of Kiss and they have two children.

Early life

Tweed was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, to a mink rancher. She was raised on a mink ranch in Whitbourne, Newfoundland and Labrador, along with six siblings. Tweed graduated from Mount Royal Collegiate in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and became involved in beauty pageants at a young age. In 1978, she was Miss Ottawa and the third runner-up in the Miss Canada Pageant. She won the Miss Canada talent competition (her specialty: singing).

Career

After the Canadian wish-fulfillment TV series Thrill of a Lifetime arranged for her to pose for Hugh Hefner's Playboy, she was chosen to be the Playmate of the Month for the November 1981 issue and eventually the Playmate of the Year for 1982. Since then, Tweed has primarily acted in TV series such as the HBO comedy 1st and Ten, the prime-time soap opera Falcon Crest and guest appearances on Frasier, as well as B movies. Tweed also appeared in an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard in the seventh and final season. In 1985, she landed a role on Days of our Lives as Savannah Wilder, remaining with the show until 1987.

Her first major theatrical film appearance was in the teen sex comedy Hot Dog... The Movie in 1984. Since then, Tweed has appeared in over 60 films, including Detroit Rock City, produced by Gene Simmons in 1999.

She occasionally acts with her younger sister, Tracy, and has also appeared in Playboy photo spreads.

In 2006, Tweed authored an autobiography, Kiss and Tell, published by Phoenix Press.

Personal life

After a brief relationship with Hugh Hefner (which coincided with her Playmate appearances and being named 1982 Playmate of the Year), Tweed has lived with Gene Simmons of Kiss since 1985. Their two children are Nicholas (born January 22, 1989) and Sophie (born July 7, 1992). The family members star in a reality television show on A&E entitled Gene Simmons Family Jewels. She also has two younger sisters, Tracy (born May 10, 1965), who is an actress and Sarah Tweed, who lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Shannon and Tracy shared the screen in the film Night Eyes 3, have appeared nude together in a Playboy spread and Tracy occasionally makes appearances on Family Jewels.
