Odometry I

In a continuing effort to appease Frank, aka the Bike-Master, and to make Aaron feel bad about himself, I have been eschewing car use for the last week and a half or so and making an effort to get more cardio-exercise. So here's a little log to let the knees know how much wear and tear they've endured over the past few:

Sat May 24: Ran 3 miles. Walked 2 to/from work.
Sun May 25: Hike 3 (up and down Camelback, though, so pretty intense). Ultimate for 2 hours.
Mon May 26: Hike 5, survived rattlesnake attack.
Tue May 27: Ran 4, Biked 18, Disc Golfed 1.5, Biked 2 t/f Work.
Wed May 28: Ran 3, Walked 2 to grocery store. Biked 2 t/f Work.
Thu May 29: Ran 2, Biked 2 t/f Work.
Fri May 30: Ran 3, Biked 18, Disc Golfed 3
Sat May 31: Ran 4, Walked 2 t/f Work
Sun Jun 1: Hiked 9.2 in Peyson, survived Horned lizard attack. Ultimate for 1.5 hours.
Mon Jun 2: Ran 3, Walked 2 t/f Work.
Tue Jun 3, Ran 4, Biked 2 t/f Work.

So in 11 days: 26 miles (slowest marathon ever!) running, 17 hiking, 13 walking, and 42 biking. Huzzah! And that doesn't count the daily half-mile walks with S&W or the mileage incurred while running at Ultimate, so... um, I wouldn't run me in the race this Saturday. But it is cool: aside from Ultimate, I didn't drive the Honda at all last week, probably saving myself 2 dollars in gas. Yay Earth! Doing It!!! (See here).

Okay, thanks for that self-indulgent bit of Odometry. Less prosaic odometry in an upcoming post. In the meantime, here are some of the cooler pics captured in Payson on Sunday. Not a lot of commentary - it's nicely wooded (shaded!) up there, and it looks like there was a forest fire at some point in the past few decades. Check it:
