Becking a Hole

Got back from pickup yesterday at pretty much the exact same time as Beck. We limped our way through the parking lot quite geriatrically; I was just a little tight after a couple of hours of sprinting and Beck was crazy sore after 18 miles of hiking (8 down, 10 up) (different trails, you math dorks out there). Beck snapped some pics of the 17th wonder of the world; click the image below to access all of her shots:

So life is back to normal in the condo. I quickly put up a course description of Buffalo Ridge here in lovely Phoenix, Sunny Azz, so check that out if you want. Otherwise it's gonna be a bit of reading until work and then a Spring League showdown with Big Nate tonight (I would bet on them without a +3 spread if I were you - we crushed them in the regular season, but we're coming off a demoralizing loss last week and they're riding a high of a big upset. So use those as completely meaningless and clichéd formulations). It's supposed to be a little windy tonight, so z-z-z-zone is in the offing. I will update in a post-Ultimate hyped up, can't sleep stupor per usual.

And in the Ultimate vein - nice work by Tufts this weekend, led by the indomitable Mike "Verbs," Mike "MAZ" and Dan "Funboy." They made it to the finals of the New England Regionals only to get bounced by Dartmouth and then lose to Hahvahd (OUCH!) in the backdoor game. So it seems like for one more year, Tufts '02 is the best set of Emen; if I were a dolphin I would drink champagne. But the real message is great job by les boys and the coaching staff; they're keeping a strong trad going.

(Oh, and it turns out I am a liar - there were 37 posts in March of '07, so 36 in April '08 is merely a record for the Phoenix era. Sorry if I got yer hopes up. Still, with eight posts through five days of May, we're on pace for a new standard of self-centered writing. Stay tuned!).
