The Congratulations Post

It's Wednesday morning and we got back from the grand weddingRochesterwedding trip last night. That post is coming. For now, big news on several fronts. They all involve goodness/accomplishment, so I'm putting the big "congrats" up here so I don't end up repeating the phrase four thousand times.

First is that the Beck ran into Sarah at the gym before we left, and she is looking good & healthy and doing crunches despite the healthy dose of fetal resistance in her abdomen. Beck was pretty wowed that Sarah is such a badass that she continues to work on her rectus abdominus. Beck also reports that Sarah's nickname has been upgraded from "Bump" to "Mound," so note that future references to one of our favorite Grafton couples will now read "Savior Mound." This also allows for a slew of dumb jokes, like if Sarah decides to stand on a roof and Cristophe helps her get down, we can say "wow, that's the first time The Mound has been lowered since 1968."

Sarah also reports that Cristophe reads this blog religiously, and she said such a thing with a straight face, solidifying her position in the Sarcasm Hall of Fame.

Next: my friend and groomsman Zach just got himself a job at Google in NYC, which is just unspeakably great. He'll be in charge of some of their university recruiting programs, and since he was pretty much the greatest college admissions officer / Tufts campus guide in the history of ever, this should be right up his alley. Very impressive and inspirational - if Zach can land a dream job, I can, too. So I should get on that.

And: wow, a slew of matches from my friends in the medical-verse. First up is Deb from San Antonio, who matched for radiology. My friend Jill also matched for radiology, friends Jack and Kate matched for peds (pronounced "peeds" which is more than appropriate) and friend Matt matched in surgery.

More med-related congrats to BIL2B Greg who has his office up and running in Brookline. Greg (amateur photographer extraordinaire) and Meghan also gave us the AWESOME camera that I used this weekend to snap shots. I got my Grin on and read the user manual at various points during the weekend and now am reasonably well-versed in the various settings. NEhoo, the next post will be featuring lots of snaps from that shwank piece of machinery; thanks again GM.

Congrats to the K who apparently made it to and from London just fine. Welcome back sassy gal.

Congrats to MNTPB, who had the wisdom to invite me to join one of his fantasy leagues. I will lose badly accordingly.

And good job to the collective Searl Johnson experience for not exploding this weekend while making 4000 wedding decisions. It is going to be a blast.

That's about it from these fronts; we are headed out to brunch with my parents shortly. I will post in a more visually oriented manner about the weekend that was later today... TEASER!
